Chapter IX: Trouble Trouble

I went back to our room but I was surprised to see a brown paper bag on top of my armchair. I sat on my chair and looked at the bag in front of me. A note was left inside of it and it said, Hey Sis, I bought you your favorite honey glazed donuts. Eat it while it’s still fresh. I’m sorry about Carl, he just needs time. :)) I sat on my chair and ate the food Priam gave me. I changed into a clean uniform afterwards before the teacher arrives. "Good morning class. We’ll be going to the science lab. We’ll be observing chemicals today. I’ll be picking students, who will be partners for this. You need to make a report about the chemicals you’ll be observing. There will be three persons in one group." the Prof said We all went to the laboratory wearing lab coats and protective gears. Samina and I were in the same group. Samina keeps track on what I was saying. I was the one who observed the thing that our teacher said. After a while, we heard noises coming our way. The door of the laboratory burst open and the other class appeared. We saw the students laughing with each other. They were too noisy that it made me turn my head towards them. Carl and I made eye contact and he smirked at me. "I’m so sorry, Sir. But I think we have to share the science lab." their teacher said "What about the science lab next to the bathrooms? Can’t you use that one?" our teacher asked "That laboratory is under renovation while the other labs are too far away. Can’t we share?" the other teacher said and my teacher nodded "Oh, okay. There’s still some space over the microscopes. Can you all fit in there?" Our teacher asked "We’ll be using some microscopes today. We will fit in that space, Sir. Thank you." the Prof said and they all went in Being in the same room as Carl’s is suffocating. He had this annoying smirk plastered in his face that made me want to strangle him to death. I constantly told myself to have inner peace and that we’ll be leaving this room in a while. I just need to tolerate this and I’m good to go. "Okay class, time’s up. Tidy up and leave the laboratory." I thank God that our teacher finally said that We quickly vacated the laboratory and went back to the classroom to rewrite our reports on a yellow pad paper. Samina quickly rewrote ours and passed it to the teacher. Seemingly, Carl didn’t bother me and he didn’t make a mess at the academy for almost a week. Not until Hell Week came. After the tests were done, the library was the next place I always go to during Hell Week. Books are the best kind of friend you could ever have. They give you knowledge and can stay with you forever. Not like people who stay for a minute but disappear in just seconds. "ID please." the librarian asked for my identification card to let me in the library I wrote my name on the log book and went to the farthest part of the library where I can’t be seen by others. No one can bother me in there. With a Literature book on my hand, I comfortably sat down on the chair and started reading. I was peacefully reading the book and was on the 57th page when I felt a hard object hitting the left side of my forehead. I winced in pain and saw a book with a hard cover on the floor. The book was entitled ’Sneaky Rascal’ and I rolled my eyes when I realized who threw that book at me. "Happy Trouble Day, Miss President." a male voice said and the sound of books falling in the nearby bookshelf alerted me No! He didn’t just---? I stood up and look at the books that started to fall from the bookshelf. Almost all the books fell and I just couldn’t believe my eyes. Is he that determined to piss me? To how extent will his guts take him? It was fortunate that the librarian didn’t heard what happened here. I called Samina and summoned her here to help me. "Piper!" she shouted and I shushed her "Oh, sorry. What happened here?" she curiously asked and started picking up the books and arranging them on the bookshelf "Carl did this." I said, frustrated and helped picking up the books "Carl? As in the Carl Marvin Chua?" "Yeah, who else in the academy has that name? Only one right?" "I understand that he really is a bully, but this? Isn’t this too much? He’s not just simply pissing you Piper, but he’s starting to create a mess in the academy. I think you should really give him the right kind of warning." "A warning won’t stop him, Samina. He’s just that thick headed and immature." "What about your blue warning? Isn’t that on another level. Maybe he’ll be frightened a little bit with it." "The blue warning?" "Yeah, that might work on him. It works every time." "I think I’m starting to consider that one." I smirked and picked up the book that fell before putting it back where it belongs Just like this book, Carl needs to know where he truly belongs. And it’s certainly not on a level way above me.
