Chapter XXVI: Movie Marathon

After the exams were over, Samina and her Mom went on a trip to Japan together so I had no one to celebrate with. Mom was out on a trip and Priam is with his friends at the moment. I got stuck here in my condo unit with foods. It was fine with me. I never really liked noises and such. It might be boring to some but sometimes, silence is the best partner to be with. Silence just relaxes my mind and soul. In that way, I’m distressing myself from all those rigorous studying I have done. Speaking of yesterday, I still couldn’t forget what happened on the parking lot. I had to research for one whole night about hearts beating so fast. Some websites made me worried but mostly, I was confused. This has to stop. I then decided to take a quick bath and change into a white shirt and black shorts. Just fit for the summer. While browsing through the internet, I saw a chicken ads and it made me crave for fried chicken. I visited their website and ordered one box of fried chicken and they said that it will be delivered in less than thirty minutes. I also ordered some milk tea that will go well with this summer. It was a dead hot day and I thought of getting all those cold things I could buy to lessen the heat. While waiting for my orders, I decided to pick what movies I should watch for today. I went to Netflix and chose something that piqued my interest. It’s the first time in many years that I’m using my Netflix account again. I just put the television on standby waiting for my orders to come. When the doorbell rang, I got up from my seat and opened the door to see a not so welcomed person. "Hi. I’ll go in" he said and went inside my condo with the fried chicken and milk tea on his hands He sat on my sofa to remove his shoes and he put all the paper bag he was holding on my center table. I was there shocked and I don’t know what to do. He smiled at me briefly and got the remote to play the movie I picked. It was too fast that I didn’t even notice he was already eating my chicken and drinking my milk tea. "What are you doing here?" "What do you think am I doing? Are you blind, Piper?" "Don’t boss around me, Carl. Why did you barge inside my condo?" "What? You opened the door and you didn’t tell me to not come in. So duh." he said as if it was a fact that I should’ve known from the very start "You’re annoying. You aren’t welcome in here." I grabbed the remote control out of his hands and pushed him to get up. He was so big and strong that I failed to do that so. "What the hell? Why won’t you budge?" "Keep trying, I’ll just sit here while laughing at you." he said and ate another chicken while watching the movie that was playing on the television "I’ll call the guards." "Go on. I’ll tell them that you’re just a crazy weirdo that forgot the fact that you invited me. Try it Piper. I’ll still find a way to stay here for a movie marathon." "Aish. How did you even know that I was here?" I whispered to myself but I think he just heard me because he answered after I said that "Handsome creatures know everything, Piper. Chill, I’m just accompanying you." How can I chill? I was still hanging on that thing he made yesterday that made my heart went berserk. How can he expect me to chill when I’m with someone I never wanted to be with for this weekend? Is he crazy? I tried my best to get him out of my condo, but the odds were really against me. So I just settled on the sofa far away from him and watched movies all day with him snoring on the sofa inside my condo. I’m not really sure if I’ll recover fast from this event because I wasn’t still over with what happened yesterday. Carl was like an alcohol that gets my head aching and gives me hangovers. But I wish I can forget what happens just like what alcohol does to people who gets drunk.
