Chapter XXVII: Confession

It was again another day for me. Monday was now rolling in and today we will head to school to get the results for the year end exams. Samina came back from Japan last Sunday and she gave the souvenirs she bought for me and Priam. She wasn’t close with my brother but she said she just wanted to get him one. I cooked breakfast before taking a bath and changing into my uniform. I wore the black and white armband that symbolizes the student council and went to school. My car was parked in the parking lot by the academy guard. I thanked him and walked my way to the office. Rye was there sitting on the couch early this morning sipping on his coffee. "Good morning, Rye." I greeted and put my bag on the table where my things were settled "Good morning, Piper. Want some coffee? I’ll text Johnson to get another one." "Johnson’s already here?" "Yeah, he’s posting the results on the bulletin boards on every building." "Really? Why aren’t you helping him?" "He said he’s fine and the executive committee is helping him with the task. Anyway, are we packing up to leave?" "Yeah, I’ll be putting my things on a box and go home together with it." "It’s sad though that we have to leave the council." "Don’t worry, Rye. I’m applying for the college presidency and you should too." "Nah. I’m going for the student governor. The president position is way high up." "Whatever makes you happy then, Rye. I’ll support you on that one." "By the way, I’ll leave you here Piper. I’m going to my room for the announcement." "Yeah sure. I’ll be leaving too in a few." "See you around Miss President." he said and went on his way to his classroom I just fixed my things inside the student council office and also went out to go to the classroom. I still haven’t seen the results and rankings will also be announced today. The finalization of requirements will also be needed to be fulfilled today for the graduation. When I finally got to see my results and my ranking, I handled my requirements to go home already. I wanted to rest and have a beauty sleep for the graduation on Friday. When I finished the requirements, I reunited with Samina just before the dismissal. Samina was also finished with the requirements and we decided to celebrate somewhere. While going to the parking lot, I felt a little anxious. Why was I nervous for today? I just shrugged it off not until we got to the parking lot. I confirmed why I was nervous. There were no people in the parking lot except for Franco. One of Carl’s friends. He was holding a letter ’I’ balloon and gave it to me. Next to him was Hans who was holding a less than sign balloon and gave it to me. Next was Chris who was holding the number 3 balloon. Lastly was Drift who was holding the letter U on his hands. When you spell the balloons according to the sequence it was given to me, it spelled: I When I reached the last step of the stairs heading to the rooftop, my heartbeat’s pace became faster and faster. It’s this feeling again. Why am I feeling this today? I ignored my heartbeat and opened the door to see what was waiting in the rooftop. My breathing hitched when I saw who it was. He was there wearing our uniform and was holding a bouquet of roses in his hands. "What----?" I asked confused of what was happening here "How would you like me to confess?"
